A book is more than pages, reading more than words, and every story takes you somewhere new.

Meet the Author
Joanne Moore
Hi, I’m Jo.
The most important thing you should know about me is that I love children’s books — especially picture books. Reading has so many benefits for a child: it helps them learn more about themselves and the world around them, and, most importantly, it offers that chance to switch off, relax, and let their imaginations be whisked away.
I’m a writer, mum, and former teacher who believes that stories can be magical in all kinds of ways. My stories in The Bit Different Collection share positive messages and gently encourage children to see the beauty in themselves and others. But not every story has to teach a lesson — sometimes a book is simply about fun, imagination, and that wonderful moment when a story brings people together. So, let’s see what I come up with next!
Whether thoughtful or simply for pure enjoyment, my hope is always the same: to create stories that children (and their grown-ups) love reading and sharing, again and again — and to spread the simple joy of getting lost in a good book.
'We are all a bit different, and the world would be bleak
if everyone was the same, not special or unique.'

The Bit Different Collection celebrates individuality and inclusion through fun, uplifting picture books.
These stories encourage children to embrace who they are, appreciate others, and discover the magic that kindness and understanding can bring to the world around them.
